About The Position

Cubic Machinery delivers custom manufacturing solutions through a direct-sales model, combining CNC equipment, robotics, and turnkey automation to solve real production problems. This role is for a high-potential sales engineer focused on building technical sales capability. The individual will own customer opportunities end to end, including prospecting, discovery, solution development, quoting, follow-up, negotiation, and internal coordination. The position requires the ability to learn quickly, operate with precision, and thrive in a demanding, high-accountability environment.

  • Experience in technical sales, industrial sales, manufacturing, CNC, automation, robotics, or applications support.
  • Experience coordinating with engineering or operations on custom scopes.
  • Familiarity with quoting, BOM structure, lead times, Incoterms, or project handoff discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect, qualify, advance, and close opportunities with disciplined follow-up and strong CRM hygiene.
  • Learn the customer’s process deeply enough to identify pain points in cycle time, labor, quality, uptime, footprint, and operator flow.
  • Work with engineering to turn customer requirements into scopes, assumptions, concepts, and commercially sound proposals.
  • Coordinate pricing, BOM inputs, lead times, and scope boundaries so proposals are accurate, clear, and professionally structured.
  • Push deals forward, close loops internally, and maintain clean handoffs to operations, service, and purchasing.
  • Use tools such as Claude or Gemini to accelerate research, account prep, call summaries, proposal drafting, and internal coordination without lowering standards.
