About The Position

We are seeking motivated, college-level interns to join our in-person Summer Sales Internship Program. Interns will support an employer-focused outbound calling project targeting the Fortune 1000 list of employers. Interns will work closely with Sales and Business Development leadership to contact employers, verify/update key contact details, and enter accurate information into the Carisk CRM to strengthen Carisk’s employer prospect database.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled college students (business, sales, marketing, communications, or related fields preferred)
  • Strong verbal communication and phone etiquette skills
  • Comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls in an in-office, team-based environment
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy when entering information into a CRM
  • Ability to follow structured processes and scripts while adapting to live conversations
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and collaborative tools; prior CRM exposure is a plus
  • Hard-working, motivated, and driven individuals with an interest in sales and business development

Nice To Haves

  • Prior sales, customer service, or call center experience (job, internship, or coursework) is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Calling employers on the Fortune 1000 list to: Confirm and/or identify key decision-makers and influencers
  • Verify titles, departments, phone numbers, and email addresses
  • Gathering and documenting information on: Employer key contacts and prospect profiles
  • Third Party Administrator (TPA) affiliations
  • Carrier and managed care relationships
  • Entering, updating, and maintaining employer data and contact records in the Carisk CRM
  • Following calling scripts and call guides while maintaining a professional, customer-focused demeanor
  • Logging call outcomes and notes accurately and consistently
  • Flagging high-potential prospects and notable opportunities for follow-up by Sales leadership
  • Assisting with list management, call list prioritization, and basic reporting related to outreach efforts
  • Contributing to additional sales support projects throughout the summer
