About The Position

Position: Sales Director The Sales Director is a high-impact leadership role responsible for overseeing NDC’s sales team and advancing our commercial strategy. This individual will shape sales plans, enhance team performance, strengthen customer engagement, and ensure operational excellence. The ideal candidate is a professional, strategic leader who thrives in a metrics-driven environment, brings strong business acumen, and values collaboration in a cross-functional organization.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of sales leadership experience, preferably in healthcare, distribution, or B2B environments
  • Proven ability to coach, develop, and lead high-performing teams
  • Strong analytical skills with experience managing KPIs and sales reporting
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to execute tactically
  • Process-driven with a continuous improvement mindset

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, onboard, and develop members of the sales team.
  • Provide clear direction, consistent coaching, and structured professional development.
  • Foster a high-performance culture grounded in communication, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to expand the customer base and maintain strong industry presence.
  • Set, monitor, and track sales targets for the sales team—including call metrics, sales performance, and Salesforce compliance.
  • Measure team performance against benchmarks and ensure current practices are driving adequate results.
  • Conduct recurring coaching sessions, provide feedback, and implement development plans as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance sales processes and remove obstacles for the team.
  • Recommend, implement, and evaluate process improvements to increase efficiency and results.
  • Ensure team members are fully trained on NDC products, tools, and departmental functions.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts for executive leadership.
  • Report on team metrics, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Coordinate with Marketing and Supplier Management to support campaigns, supplier initiatives, and revenue-driving projects.
  • Use customer feedback to develop ideas for product or service enhancements.
  • Meet regularly with the Vice President of Sales to review progress, KPIs, and overall team performance.
