About The Position

Swimlane is seeking a highly motivated individual to help expand its sales organization. We are looking for a self-starter with deep knowledge of information security who will aggressively build pipelines and deliver revenue. The ability to effectively manage sales opportunities in information security is critical for success in this role. A strong understanding of the role of multiple information security domains within the enterprise, coupled with the ability to use sales resources—pipeline management tools, close partnership with the SE partner, aggressive utilization of channel resources, and partnership with Swimlane’s internal team, is required for success.

Requirements

  • 10 + years of successful experience in sales of information security services and products, subscription pricing-model solutions preferred, with a proven track record of accomplishment with enterprise executives.
  • Demonstrable expertise in managing sales opportunities from prospect to closure
  • Proven hunter capabilities
  • Strong experience manging marketing and channel driven demand
  • Extensive contacts in the information security field
  • Extensive contacts in the VAR and SI community
  • Understanding of SOC environments
  • Ability to present the Swimlane solution without sales engineer support
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
  • Capability to present technical information to a variety of audiences
  • Demonstrated ability and commitment to forecast and manage sales pipeline using SalesForce.com
  • Hands-on experience in selling information security services or products
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks to successful completion
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, geographically dispersed organization
  • Up to 50% travel is required
  • Must reside in Illinois at the time of application

Nice To Haves

  • In-depth understanding of multiple security domains as they work in concert to secure the enterprise
  • Experience selling SIEM solutions and the security operations processes and resources that utilize these platforms
  • Understanding the complex process of integrating multiple disparate IT platforms to orchestrate the desired information flow from the entire infrastructure
