The Sales Director for Walmart will lead a team that is responsible for maintaining a profitable and healthy business through Joint Business Planning. This person will become an expert on Coty brand strategies and product portfolios to work in conjunction with their staff and internal business partners to create and execute a 4P strategy at the customer. The individual will have direct and indirect ownership of all levels of the customer P&L. The role will be a key direct report to the VP of Sales for the Walmart business and will be instrumental in maximizing sales and driving overall growth and performance for the department. This person should be adaptable to the changing needs of the business and communicate progress and risk effectively to management on a consistent basis. The right candidate will be highly organized and proactive in their approach, with a positive, team-player attitude. The position calls for a growth and results driven strategist and executor who is tapped in culturally within the industry. The team consists of our Sales Directors working closely together with several departments such as Brand Marketing, Trade Marketing, Wall Strategy, Operations, Demand Planning, Walmart Media Connect, Walmart Scintilla & various supplier partners.   • Define short and long-term strategic goals, build key customer relationships, and identify business opportunities within customer base (Joint Business Planning)
  • Train & lead account managers to sell, implement, and evaluate business plans to meet or exceed financial objectives.
  • Train & lead account managers to manage and improve distribution, pricing, shelving, and merchandising.
  • Develop deep understanding of Coty Brands (strategies, priorities, portfolios, etc.)
  • Create and deliver compelling brand / category story for the customer to sell-in new opportunities
  • Collaborate with customer marketing, sales, creative, supply chain, finance, media, influencer marketing, and other key stakeholders
  • Serve as primary team leader with the customer and sales/marketing teams, building and leveraging relationships with across functional counterparts.
  • Lead the team that work with sales, marketing, and Supply chain teams to forecast and plan existing base, display, and new business opportunities
  • Accountability of development and execution of all presentations for major customer meetings
  • Management of short-term and long-term business results
  • Delivering upon volume, share and ROI targets
  • Driving distribution, shelving, pricing, and promotion support to optimize spend.
  • Identification and activation of fact-based sales opportunities.
  • Accurately forecast the business and proactively alerting HQ of major shifts in the business.
  • Steward trade funds by delivering appropriate ROI's and minimizing customer invalid deductions.
  • Budget / P&L management.
  • Education: 4-year bachelor's degree; MBA preferred
  • Experience: 8-10 year CPG experience in account management and sales strategy
  • Technical skills: Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); Nielsen; CPG Analytics
  • Creativity and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong team and people management experience.
  • Ability to network and forge alliances internally and with external stakeholder.
