Requirements

  • Two or more years of experience in sales, with a track record of exceeding lead targets
  • Strong communication skills via phone and email
  • Proven, creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills
  • Strong desire and ability to move up within a sales organization
  • High level of organization and attention to detail, with the discipline to manage multiple prospects and follow-ups simultaneously
  • Comfort working in a metrics-driven environment, with a clear understanding of activity, conversion, and pipeline expectations
  • Self-motivated, resilient, and persistent—comfortable with outbound prospecting and handling objections

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency with CRM platforms (HubSpot preferred), including lead management, task tracking, and pipeline reporting
  • Experience using sales intelligence and prospecting tools (e.g., CoStar, ZoomInfo, or similar)
  • Familiarity with structured outreach cadences and multichannel prospecting strategies
  • Understanding of long-cycle, consultative sales processes and how SDR activity supports downstream close rates
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Account Executives and Sales Leadership to ensure clean handoffs and well-qualified opportunities
  • Strong time-management skills and the ability to prioritize high-value activities in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for prospective customers, providing a positive and professional introduction to the Russell Landscape brand
  • Effectively represent the company’s products and services, leveraging deep product knowledge and customer insights to demonstrate how our solutions meet customer needs
  • Proactively generate leads and build meaningful relationships by nurturing warm prospects and identifying new business opportunities
  • Manage and organize a robust pipeline of qualified prospects, coordinating with sales executives to smoothly transition opportunities to the next stage of the sales process
  • Continuously identify and share insights on best practices to improve and refine the company’s lead-generation strategy and outreach playbook
  • Track key performance metrics (e.g., response rates, conversion rates) to evaluate outreach effectiveness and drive ongoing improvement
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations to align messaging and ensure a consistent customer experience across all touchpoints
  • Leverage third-party tools and resources to research and build targeted lists of prospective customers
  • Initiate contact with potential customers through cold calls, email outreach, and other prospecting methods to generate new sales opportunities
  • Establish and maintain a consistent outreach cadence to ensure timely follow-up with all prospects
  • Engage prospects in discovery conversations to uncover their needs and recommend relevant products or services
  • Build trust and rapport with prospects to qualify them as viable sales opportunities
  • Actively seek and identify new business opportunities within assigned territories or markets
  • Accurately track all outreach activity, prospect interactions, and pipeline updates within the company CRM to ensure data integrity and visibility
  • Prepare and deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports—including activity levels, conversion metrics, and pipeline health—to the Director of Sales Operations
