About The Position

As a Sales Development Representative, you’ll be on the front lines of PeopleJoy’s growth. You’ll generate and qualify leads through cold outreach, conferences, and discovery calls, and nurture prospects through the early stages of the sales pipeline.

Requirements

  • Have 3+ years of experience in a role that required resilience and persistence in the face of rejection (e.g., sales, athletics, entrepreneurship, performing arts, writing)
  • Are process-driven, organized, and detail-oriented
  • Thrive as a team player (bonus points if you’ve played a team sport)
  • Bring your own energy and positivity wherever you go
  • Enjoy working with entrepreneurs and navigating ambiguity
  • Are a self-starter who has taught yourself a new skill in the past year
  • Are technically savvy and comfortable with MS Office or Google Workspace
  • Communicate clearly and professionally
  • Have a strong work ethic and follow-through

Responsibilities

  • Targeted outbound outreach via phone, email, social media, and conferences
  • Conducting first-call discovery to qualify prospects
  • Reactivating stale or inactive leads
  • Scheduling qualified meetings for sales closers
  • Updating and maintaining our CRM (HubSpot)
  • Building and executing outbound workflows using sales engagement tools
