Sales Development Representative Position Summary re you ready to be at the forefront of retail technology sales? At Aptos, we’re building a next-generation Sales Development team and looking for an SDR who’s not just driven and proactive, but creative, curious, and excited by the power of AI and emerging tools. As an SDR, you’ll generate new sales opportunities through a mix of inbound and outbound activities, using your imagination and resourcefulness to break through the noise and connect with prospects in fresh, meaningful ways. This role is for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, embraces the challenges, and sees every conversation as a chance to learn and adapt. You’ll collaborate closely with our sales and marketing teams, leverage the latest technologies, and be empowered to experiment with new approaches to improve your results and grow your skills.

Requirements

  • 2+ years in sales development, ideally in B2B tech or SaaS
  • Experience with enterprise CRM (Salesforce preferred)
  • A creative mindset and a passion for experimenting with new sales tools, including AI
  • Excellent communication, research, and relationship-building skills
  • Resilience, adaptability, and a growth mindset—ready to learn from every engagement and keep moving forward
  • Highly organized, with a knack for prioritizing and following up
  • Quick to learn, eager for feedback, and motivated to exceed targets
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment

Responsibilities

  • Research & Discovery: Dive deep into target accounts, uncovering key players and decision makers through creative research and modern prospecting techniques.
  • Outbound Engagement: Use a blend of phone, email, LinkedIn, and new AI-powered tools to spark conversations and uncover qualified sales opportunities.
  • Inbound Qualification: Qualify inbound leads with agility and insight, ensuring every prospect receives a tailored, consultative experience.
  • Innovate & Experiment: Continuously explore and test new outreach strategies, leveraging AI and automation to boost productivity and results.
  • Collaboration: Partner with account executives and marketing to align on strategies, share feedback, and help shape campaigns that resonate.
  • Reporting & CRM: Accurately track outreach and engagement in our CRM, and share insights on what’s working (and what’s not) to drive team success.
  • Industry Learning: Stay sharp on Aptos solutions and the evolving retail landscape, always seeking opportunities to expand your knowledge and impact.
