About the Team Join the Workday Sales Development team and play a key role in transforming how businesses worldwide manage their operations. About the Role Join our APAC and Japan global sales team as a Sales Development Representative! You will join our team in deploying various prospecting approaches across target accounts, partnering with our Account Executives to build quality opportunities for the Workday sales team. Your key role is to connect with potential customers and share our value messaging while also discovering the needs of the prospect and their organization. Together, we generate a quality pipeline through a combination of email, phone calls, marketing qualified leads, social selling, and face-to-face events. We identify qualified potential buyers and develop the relationship between the account and our broader Workday team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of two (2) years of industry-specific experience OR 4+ years of equivalent work experience where a degree is not present
  • Experience in prospecting, inside sales, business development, high-technology environments, marketing, direct sales, or IT consulting
  • Familiarity with tools such as Salesforce.com, Clari Groove, and ZoomInfo
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Building Pipeline: Ability to identify potential leads, nurture them through early-stage engagement, and develop a consistent and growing pipeline through outreach activities.
  • Relationship Building: Ability to establish meaningful connections with prospects and internal team members through empathy, effective communication, and trust.
  • Business Acumen: Willingness to learn and understand customer environments, market trends, and organizational landscapes to position Workday effectively in prospecting conversations.
  • Value Propositions: Ability to identify and articulate the unique value of our solutions in a way that resonates with different audiences and addresses customer needs.
  • Credibility: Ability to build confidence with prospects and partners through consistency, integrity, and a commitment to continuously developing your knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Deploying multi-channel prospecting strategies across target accounts, including phone, email, social selling, and in-person events
  • Partnering with our Account Executives to build and advance quality opportunities for Workday field sales
  • Contacting potential customers and sharing our value messaging while uncovering prospects' needs and organizational challenges
  • Identifying and qualifying potential buyers to help us generate a healthy and growing pipeline
  • Nurturing and developing relationships between prospective accounts and our Workday team
  • Responding to and qualifying marketing qualified leads in a timely and effective manner
  • Diligent to detail with a focus on staying organized while managing multiple prospecting activities and accounts simultaneously
