About The Position

We're seeking a passionate SDR to drive pipeline growth while building our entire sales development function. You'll connect with AI innovators and scale our outreach using both human talent and AI-powered tools. About this role What we do Vellum is an end-to-end AI development platform that helps teams build and deploy AI-powered applications. We offer tooling for experimentation, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and collaboration—so both technical and non-technical stakeholders can contribute seamlessly. For engineers: version control, testing frameworks, RAG pipelines, and a full suite of SDKs/APIs. For non-technical users: low-code workflow canvas editor, integrations with all notable LLMs, and shared workspaces.

Requirements

  • 1-4 years B2B tech startup SDR experience with modern sales tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, etc.) and multi-channel prospecting
  • Experience with AI-powered sales tools and automation platforms
  • Natural leadership skills and excitement to build SDR processes from the ground up
  • Genuine curiosity about AI technology and comfort discussing technical challenges with engineers
  • Resilient self-starter who thrives in ambiguous environments

Nice To Haves

  • Experience prospecting AI/ML teams or technical audiences building with LLMs
  • Senior SDR, team lead, or process-building experience
  • Technical background or hands-on AI development experience
  • Active engagement in AI/tech communities (LinkedIn, Twitter, GitHub, Discord)
  • Previous experience selling AI/ML tools or developer platforms to technical teams

Responsibilities

  • Research and identify high-potential prospects building AI applications, from startups to enterprise organizations
  • Experiment on & execute multi-channel outbound campaigns (email, LinkedIn, phone, Twitter) using modern SDR tools and creative approaches to break through noise to reach companies building production AI applications
  • Qualify inbound leads and book meetings for Account Executives with technical decision-makers, providing clear context on use cases and pain points
  • Collaborate with marketing to optimize campaigns and messaging based on prospect conversations
  • Build relationships in AI communities through developer engagement, meetups, and conferences
