The Associate Account Representative position in Daikin Applied's Ignite Sales Development Program is designed for individuals seeking a dynamic learning environment that leads to a sales role in the HVAC industry. This program offers comprehensive training focused on commercial HVAC equipment, sales methodologies, and hands-on experience through job shadowing and real-world applications. Participants will engage with experienced professionals and gain insights into the company's operations, preparing them for a successful transition into a full-time sales position.

  • Build strong relationships with program and Daikin field leaders, mentors, peers, and support staff.
  • Develop knowledge of Daikin Applied's line of commercial HVAC equipment and service offerings.
  • Job shadow critical roles within the local office team.
  • Attend and participate in in-person trainings, virtual instructor-led trainings (VILT), and self-directed learning modules.
  • Learn Daikin Applied's processes, procedures, technology, and resources to support the sales office.
  • Participate in Sandler Sales methodology training and roleplay different parts of the sales cycle.
  • Collaborate with Ignite peers to complete a capstone project, including responding to customer issues and presenting solutions.
  • Apply program learnings by building a book of business in preparation for a full-time sales role.
  • Travel regularly with peers and program staff to key Daikin sites to learn about equipment and services.
  • Travel within the local district's territory with key office team members.
  • 4 year bachelor's degree in business, communications, engineering or related field.
  • High school diploma or GED plus HVAC certification and 5 years HVAC field service experience considered in lieu of a 4 year bachelor's degree.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong organization, problem solving, and customer service skills.
  • Mechanical/technical aptitude/ability.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
  • Ability to travel regularly during the program and in local territory while working with a sales mentor.
  • Experience with Salesforce or other sales tracking software.
