As a Sales Development Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience alongside some of the most talented professionals in the industry, learning the fundamentals of sales, business development, and the healthcare technology space. If you’re curious, ambitious, and passionate about starting a career in tech sales, this internship will give you a front-row seat to how a high-performing sales demand generation team drives growth in a company that’s truly modernizing medicine.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in healthcare technology and a desire to learn the art of sales.
  • Polished, professional communication — both written and verbal.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and a collaborative spirit.
  • Comfortable working onsite at our Boca Raton Headquarters.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Sales Development Managers and Team Leads to support lead generation efforts and market outreach initiatives.
  • Research target accounts and identify key stakeholders within healthcare organizations across different medical specialties.
  • Build prospect lists, analyze potential opportunities, and prepare lead insights before passing them to the SDR or RSM team.
  • Engage prospects through creative outreach — including phone calls, email, and LinkedIn — to spark interest and generate qualified leads.
  • Learn to articulate the value of ModMed’s solutions and understand how our technology helps transform medical practices.
  • Shadow SDRs and participate in live calls to gain exposure to discovery and sales conversations.
  • Maintain accurate records of all prospecting activity within Salesforce and Groove.
  • Contribute ideas to improve team processes and outreach strategies.
