The Sales Development Consultant will support OCLC Library Services by: Identifying and qualifying new and emerging business opportunities from new and existing OCLC member libraries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (with emphasis in business preferred)>Previous (minimum of two years) business sales experience.
  • Ability to respond to needs of various work groups.
  • Strong detail orientation.
  • Strong communication skills, including previous (minimum two years) experience working with clients and prospects on telephone
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Acceptable level of experience with Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Excel and Access.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with library market, products and services a plus.
  • Previous experience working with Internet-related technology and products also a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Generating sales from qualified prospects and customers.
  • Building prospect/customer interest and adoption by providing OCLC product tutorials -- focusing on product functionality and utilization of product supporting resources to library customers.
  • Complete standard and ad hoc projects on behalf of the Library Services Organization.
  • Assist Regional sales representatives with in-office activities to support the sales cycle.
