About The Position

- The Designer at MJC INC will be responsible for creating and updating designs to enhance our product offerings. This role requires proficiency in CAD/CAM software and the ability to effectively utilize ERP systems to manage product data and support manufacturing operations. The Designer will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and innovation.

Requirements

• 4-year degree in engineering or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experience in computer design within a manufacturing setting
• Experience working with ERP systems
• Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of an organization
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software
• Strong understanding of ERP systems, including adding parts, updating BOMs, printing job travelers, and managing min/max settings
• Ability to support colleagues with ERP functions
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Design updates to existing products to improve functionality and aesthetics.
• Utilize CAD/CAM software proficiently to create detailed design models.
• Maintain and update the ERP system, including adding parts, updating Bills of Materials (BOMs), printing job travelers, and managing minimum/maximum inventory settings.
• Provide support to colleagues in utilizing ERP functions effectively.
• Communicate design concepts and updates clearly across all levels of the organization to ensure alignment and understanding.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design specifications meet manufacturing capabilities and customer requirements.
• Stay updated with industry trends and integrate new design methodologies as appropriate.
