About The Position

Position: Sales | Design Consultant Pay: Earn $50,000 - $80,000 + in your first year! We have the highest commission rates in Southeastern SD! Training: We offer interior design training through one-on-one coaching and educational development. What is the Typical Day of a Sales Associate/Designer? Your day is a mix of customer interactions, product knowledge, and administrative tasks. Overall, it revolves around providing exceptional customer service, driving sales, and maintaining a well-organized schedule. Here's what a day could look like: Customer Engagement: As customers begin to arrive, sales associates greet them warmly and inquire about their needs. They provide assistance in finding the right pieces based on the customers' preferences, budget, and lifestyle. This includes explaining product features, materials, and benefits. Product Demonstrations: Sales associates conduct product demonstrations to showcase the features and functionality of pieces. They may highlight quality construction, design aesthetics, and customization options to help customers make informed decisions. Closing Sales: Once customers have selected their desired items, sales associates guide them through the purchasing process. This involves processing transactions, arranging delivery or pickup, and addressing any concerns or questions the customers may have. Follow-Up and Aftercare: After completing a sale, sales associates may follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction with their purchase. They may also assist with any post-sales inquiries, such as scheduling delivery or addressing product issues. Administrative Tasks: Throughout the day, sales associates may also handle administrative duties such as updating inventory records, responding to emails or phone calls, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the showroom. Professional Development: Sales associates will participate in weekly training sessions to improve their product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service skills. That being said, we also want the ideal candidate to have a strong work ethic and a passion to grow with the company. Previous design and sales experience is preferred, but not required. We will help you build relationships with customers to help them reflect their own personal sense of style. Montgomerys also continues your training throughout your employment with updates on product knowledge as well as design and sales techniques.
