About The Position

As a Sales & Design Specialist at Herman Miller, you will represent a brand that has defined modern furniture for over a century. Your role involves guiding clients through a personalized journey, combining your design expertise with consultative selling to help them create spaces that enhance their wellness and productivity. This position goes beyond a typical retail role, offering the opportunity to become a trusted advisor and design consultant for clients who value quality, ergonomics, and timeless style. You will report directly to the General Manager and be instrumental in contributing to the store's overall success.

Requirements

Proven experience in retail sales, interior design, or client-facing design consultation
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a client-first mindset
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and design/rendering tools
Ability to lift/move items over 20 lbs and adhere to safety protocols
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed

Responsibilities

Inspire and educate clients through in-store demonstrations and personalized consultations
Design tailored solutions that align with clients’ needs, preferences, and wellness goals
Drive sales by building strong client relationships and proactively following up on leads
Collaborate with the A&D (Architecture & Design) community to grow brand awareness and partnerships
Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure a premium store experience
Process transactions and manage orders with accuracy and efficiency
