The Sales Counter Associate serves as a key point of contact between customers, sales, and warehouse operations at our HVAC manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for providing exceptional customer service at the sales counter, accurately processing orders, coordinating shipments, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates initiative, and works collaboratively to support operational and customer satisfaction goals.

Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift (certification provided as needed)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Proficient in computer systems, order processing, and shipping software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maneuver dollies, carts, pallet jacks, and forklifts (training provided)
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on order accuracy
  • Positive, “can-do” attitude with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to demonstrate and support a collaborative, respectful, and engaged workplace

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily sales counter operations and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Greet and assist customers professionally in person and by phone
  • Accurately pull, stage, and process will-call orders
  • Coordinate and schedule outbound shipments with internal teams and carriers
  • Prepare and ship small packages using FedEx, UPS, and other carriers
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional sales counter and customer-facing area
  • Communicate effectively with sales, warehouse, and shipping teams to resolve issues and ensure order accuracy
  • Identify and escalate customer or order discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to customer service and operational efficiency
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support business needs
