About The Position

As a Union - Sales Counter Associate, you will sell merchandise to customers over the counter, providing excellent customer service and facilitating sales while utilizing knowledge of product sold. This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or any collective bargaining agreements. For eligible positions, compensation may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plan documents. For certain sales roles, Wesco also offers a commission structure that provides additional compensation based on sales results, as defined by the applicable commission plan. Requirements

  • High School Degree or Equivalent required
  • 1 Year Warehouse, Counter Sales, Customer Service Representative
  • Able to evaluate products in terms of customer needs and know how to apply products.
  • Strong Customer Service skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including word, excel, Internet

Responsibilities

  • Suggest selections that meet customers’ needs and emphasize selling points of article such as quality and utility.
  • Prepare sales slip.
  • Receive payment or obtain credit authorization.
  • Place new merchandise on display.
  • Review and maintain counter inventory levels.
  • Recommend new stock items by completing necessary forms.
  • Maintain security of cash drawer and shipping ticket audit copies.
