About The Position

The Sales Counselor is the first point of contact for families interested in Parting Stone’s solidification service. You will speak with prospective customers, answer their questions, guide them through the process, and build trust that leads to placing an order. Many conversations take place during emotionally sensitive moments, so this role requires empathy, patience, and clear communication. You will represent the company on phone and video calls multiple times a day and play a key role in creating a positive first impression. This role reports to the Vice President of Sales and works closely with the Customer Service team to ensure a smooth handoff once orders are completed.

Requirements

  • Previous sales experience required
  • Hands-on experience using CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar)
  • At least 12 months of remote work experience
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
  • Strong empathy, patience, and emotional awareness
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage time effectively and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated with strong accountability and follow-through
  • Professional-quality audio and video setup
  • Candidate must use their own laptop and have a reliable internet connection
  • US time zone working hours

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in concierge-level or customer-focused service is a plus
  • Experience in the death care industry is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Host scheduled 15-minute consultations with inbound prospects (approximately 2–6 per day)
  • Answer and return calls and voicemails in a timely and professional manner
  • Provide empathetic guidance and clearly explain the solidification process
  • Maintain detailed and personalized follow-ups with prospects over a sales cycle of 2 weeks to 4 months
  • Meet or exceed sales targets for Direct-to-Consumer and Pre-Need orders
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in HubSpot CRM
  • Deliver a concierge-level customer experience with a hospitality-first mindset
  • Conduct inbound and outbound outreach, including follow-ups with past inquiries
  • Collaborate occasionally with marketing to nurture potential clients
  • Recognize signs of emotional fatigue and apply healthy coping strategies
  • Perform additional duties as business needs evolve
