The Sales Coordinator position plays a pivotal role in advancing the company's sales, proposals, and marketing initiatives. Responsible for orchestrating all Sales-related communication within the internal team, this role operates at the intersection of independent work and collaboration. By closely collaborating with program managers, pricing analysts, and the sales team, the Sales Coordinator enhances customer service, driving continual improvement to fortify relationships with both existing and prospective clients. This multifaceted role not only supports the development of sales strategies but also actively engages in account management to meet customer needs, devise solutions, and streamline the sales and quoting process. In addition to providing essential support via phone and email, the Sales Coordinator is uniquely positioned to contribute to the overall success of the company's sales efforts.

  • Actively manage customer interactions to enhance satisfaction, reduce quote lead time, and streamline the PO cycle.
  • Support the Sales teams by coordinating responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), commercial quotes, and customer inquiries.
  • Participate in customer negotiations, audits, and cost proposal clarifications to ensure transparency and compliance.
  • Create quotations by referencing product literature, price lists, and engaging with Program Management, Finance, and Contracts.
  • Prepare timely, accurate, and compliant cost proposals while ensuring alignment with customer requirements and company objectives.
  • Provide costing and pricing support, including customizing Excel pricing templates, developing summary sheets, analyzing historical cost data, and assisting Sales Manager with financial insights.
  • Deliver analytical insights and recommendations to identify pricing opportunities, improve competitiveness, and mitigate financial risks.
  • Coordinate administrative tasks necessary to implement pricing strategies, including updates to price lists.
  • Update cost models and develop supporting narratives to address RFP requirements, while contributing to overall pricing strategy.
  • Analyze labor, material, equipment, and other direct costs, benchmark against historical data, and recommend adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain comprehensive CRM records of inquiries and requests, along with generating historical reports.
  • Collaborate with department supervisors or leads to assess the status of assigned projects and regularly communicate updates to customers.
  • Plan and execute promotional activities, encompassing print, electronic media, and participation in trade shows.
  • Report on Sales Forecast and Open Items, providing insights into the status and potential opportunities.
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Marketing or Communications preferred.
  • 2-5 years of directly related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in reading, analyzing, and interpreting general business documents.
  • Strong report and business correspondence writing skills.
  • Effective presentation and communication abilities.
  • Problem-solving skills with the capability to navigate situations with limited standardization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS Project OneNote), ERP/MRP Software, and Salesforce.
