About The Position

Reporting to the Customer Service Supervisor, the Sales Coordinator is first and foremost the frontline contact with Winpak Films Inc's (WFI) customers. The Sales Coordinator's role in Quality Assurance is the timely processing, organization and dissemination of information from both external and internal customers. This leadership role provides excellent communication with both customers and the sales group, assists WFI in the development and maintenance of critical business, and demonstrates the Company's commitment to superior quality and responsiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Confirms that WFI can meet the customer's purchase order requirements; informs the customer and/or sales group promptly if not.
  • Calculates order data such as roll OD, roll footage, weight and units per box/roll, and weight per thousand units.
  • Enters orders within (24) hours.
  • Enters Product Specifications as part of order entry process for new items.
  • Processes Item Specification Change Form for appropriate approval and enters all approved changes by customer to the Specification database.
  • Identifies and presents any price discrepancies to the Pricing Data Base Coordinator, National Sales Manager or Sales Director for approval.
  • Coordinates information between the Production Control, Production, Sales, Shipping, Credit, Purchasing, and Accounting departments to ensure that the customer's needs are being met.
  • Makes financially responsible business decisions regarding expedited shipments with the CS Manager or Material Manager's approval for orders that require delivery in less than the normal transit time.
  • Logs completed orders on Shipping log as required.
  • Takes on Inside Sales responsibilities and solicits new orders from House Accounts.
  • Actively participates in selling excess inventory from stock, make and hold, film for sale and left over R&D/Sample material.
  • Enters the Complaint/Authorization for Return Goods and Corrective Action into the Data Base within 24 hours of receipt of claim from customer.
  • Authorizes the return of defective material per Company policy and procedures.
  • Actively reviews Open Order report to assess order status and close out or change dates as required.
  • Answers individual and department telephones promptly.
  • Responds to the requests of customers and the Sales staff in a timely manner.
  • Returns phone calls same day.
  • Informs the customer and the Sales staff when orders are put on credit hold.
  • Coordinates with the Sales staff on customer credit issues.
  • Maintains up-to-date on hand stock and makes and holds reports for the Sales staff and/or for customers.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Customer Service Manager.
