About The Position

Catering coordinators are in charge of planning and managing all the needs of events and catering services. Responsibilities include: communicating and providing excellent customer service, organizing, coordinating an event timeline, maintaining inventory, overseeing staff, and assisting with budgeting and financing.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED certification or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Must have basic Reading, Writing, and Math skills.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work
  • Customer Service Skills required.
  • Prioritization and time management skills required.
  • Must have a strong attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Answers in-coming calls, qualifies, and distributes customer inquiries in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Provides administrative support for the department, including data entry, completion of sales reports, and the accuracy and timely handling of signed contracts.
  • Contributes to client’s overall satisfaction by handling all inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assists in problem-solving and ensures overall quality of group sales and catering efforts.
  • Assists and responds to guests in a friendly and positive manner while providing the highest level of quality service to the guest.
  • Works as a team player in meeting guests’ needs, and actively contributes to the efforts of other departments as necessary.
  • Understands and follows hotel guest service recovery programs.
  • Coordinates with the sales team to ensure space and resources are utilized appropriately.
  • Responsible for proper use of all equipment and supplies and adheres to cost controls to reduce expenses and waste.
  • May also be responsible for inventory and ordering of office supplies.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work area in compliance with company, brand, local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Follows all company procedures for guest/associate incidents.
  • Produces required volume of work by planning, organizing and prioritizing work duties.
  • Adheres to company attendance policy, grooming and appearance standards, and general work rules and department procedures.
  • Responsible for self/workload management.
  • Demonstrates clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Promotes collaboration and a positive, professional environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
