The primary responsibilities of the position consist of, but are not limited to:

Requirements

  • Recent college graduate with 4-year degree preferred
  • Professional business experience is highly desired
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to quickly apply training received
  • Technical background with good computer skills
  • Accounting experience in regard to budgets and forecasts
  • Well organized

  • Computer Skills - Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Language Skills - Intermediate: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Mathematical Skills - Intermediate: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Reasoning Ability - High: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Consistent, regular, and reliable attendance including being ready for work at the designated start time

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating sales deals from start to finish
  • Coordinating sales and working with assigned sales team members
  • Quoting / Locating Equipment
  • Utilizing build sheets and quoting tools
  • Reaching out to vendors for quotes needed on deals
  • Searching and locating equipment amongst all regions needed for sales.
  • Working with the Rental / Transportation Coordinator for logistics needs
  • Equipment Ordering
  • Working with inventory team on all equipment ordering needs
  • Sending over quotes on equipment to be ordered
  • Getting proper ETA’s on equipment
  • Following up with inventory team for EQ numbers and updated ETA’s
  • New Customer Set Up
  • Requesting Credit Applications
  • Working with credit team to properly get new customers set up.
  • Reaching out to have ESA unblocked in the system.
  • Create Equipment Sales Contracts / Manual Sale Invoices / GPO’s
  • Collecting proper signed paperwork
  • Creating and utilize deals folders to compile all information related to each sale
  • Getting equipment and all attachments on contract
  • Creating cost of sale accrual lines needed for freight, service, warranty, special pricing credits, subsidy.
  • Creating all GPO’s needed for freight, service, warranty, special pricing credits, subsidy.
  • Creating Manual sales invoices for special circumstances if needed
  • Working with the Rental / Transportation Coordinator for logistics needs
  • Creating and sending traffic to appropriate yard personnel
  • Saving all appropriate paperwork and approvals in folders and in Extend in compliance with SOX requirements.
  • Work with invoicing team once sale is completed ready for final invoicing.
  • Requesting Service Work
  • Working with the service department to ensure sales units are maintained and ready for sales.
  • Sending proper service request for any additional work needed on equipment.
  • Review service work orders billed internally to the equipment for accuracy.
  • Review E-Inspect for damage and work collectively with the service department to determine billable customer damage.
  • Work with the rental manager or director of rental to process all insurance claims.
  • Equipment Financing
  • Working with the finance department on financing needs for equipment sales
  • Logging deals for approval in teams finance log
  • Providing proforma/invoices for funding purposes
  • Assisting in Managing Sales Receivables
  • Follow company COD policy.
  • Review monthly provided reports for past due accounts.
  • Request Credit/Rebill of invoices when needed.
  • Work with remittance/credit to apply payments to invoices on customer accounts.
  • Processing Purchase Orders
  • Coding freight invoices
  • Coding special pricing credits
  • Coding warranty invoices
  • Creating manual sales invoices as needed
  • Participate in weekly sales calls.
  • Prep for meeting topics throughout the week
  • Contribute to improvements in the sales department.
  • Answering and directing telephone calls/messages to appropriate personnel
  • Incorporating Alta's Guiding Principles into daily activities
  • Performs other duties as assigned
