About The Position

The Sales Coordinator role at US Foods involves supporting sales efforts by developing relationships with key customers, processing orders, and promoting customer engagement. This hybrid position combines onsite and remote work, focusing on customer service and sales performance in the Southeast region.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least three (3) years of previous customer service experience required.
  • Food service distribution experience preferred.
  • Previous sales experience preferred, but not required.
  • Working knowledge of CRM tools, especially Salesforce.com, is a plus.
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Solid problem resolution ability required.
  • Solid customer service orientation with the ability to influence/persuade customers.
  • Ability to process multiple issues simultaneously and drive them to successful resolution.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships with key customers, both internal and external.
  • Contact customers for orders and add-ons.
  • Process orders through internal order entry systems.
  • Promote customer engagement with US Foods.com for order entry and value-added services.
  • Highlight ongoing promotions and opportunities to up-sell/cross-sell to customers.
  • Support Territory Managers by maintaining regular contact and driving sales performance.
  • Respond to customer and Territory Manager inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Maintain ownership of follow-up communication from escalated inquiries.
  • Leverage proprietary US Foods systems and tools to answer inquiries accurately.
  • Attend department sales meetings and product trainings for professional development.
  • Provide administrative support to Territory Managers and Sales Management.
  • Respond to product receiving and pricing inquiries.
  • Provide vacation/back-up coverage to Territory Managers.
