About The Position

Young Life is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team in a role that emphasizes spiritual formation, interpersonal relationships, attentive hospitality, comprehensive stewardship, talent development, and embracing excellence. This position is integral to our mission of evangelism and discipleship, requiring a commitment to the Christian faith and the ability to minister as a servant of God. The role involves managing guest group relationships, developing new business opportunities, and ensuring a Christ-like environment at our camp. Candidates must be self-starters with strong communication skills and a passion for serving others.

Requirements

  • Self-starter with a high sense of urgency and aggressive in finding and closing new opportunities.
  • Entrepreneurial attitude willing to come up with solutions to customer objections.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to deliver effective sales presentations via phone, zoom, and face-to-face meetings.
  • Ability to write clearly and effectively to various customer groups.
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude when facing adversity.
  • Familiar with the ministry strategy and mission of Young Life.
  • Able to function in a healthy manner where relationships are transient.
  • Must have 2-3 years of sales experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in administrative tasks such as preparing documents and handling communication.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to create new structures and systems.
  • Demonstrated proficiency and creativity with Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

  • Intentionally provide opportunities for staff to grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus.
  • Build relationships that reflect the character of God with potential clients, guests, and staff.
  • Demonstrate a posture of service that anticipates guest needs and responds with professionalism.
  • Engage with guest groups through outreach phone calls and visits.
  • Prospect and deliver sales presentations to customer groups.
  • Manage finances, people, buildings, and equipment entrusted to the ministry.
  • Develop and manage a non-Young Life Guest Group prospect list.
  • Generate revenue by developing new business opportunities.
  • Create avenues to promote summer ministry opportunities.
  • Maintain a sales opportunity forecast to present to Camp Manager.
  • Develop camping products that meet the needs of non-Young Life Guest Groups.
  • Demonstrate appropriate understanding of customer opportunities.
  • Develop a gratitude program to show appreciation to all user groups.
  • Participate in national training events and lead training sessions for staff at other camps.
