Provide corrective action/discipline if needed Learn the specifics of each position within your area of responsibility Monitor and maintain accurate Workforce Dimensions records for payroll Assure employee safety by correcting and documenting all safety violations immediately Work to minimize the impact of any employee injury, having concern of injured employee first and investigating, documenting, the implementing corrective measures Work to instill cooperation in others Assure employees are properly trained and equipped with appropriate protective equipment and train them as to the proper wearing, inspection, and cleaning of equipment Assure that all employees’ questions and problems are responded to timely Conduct self in a professional manner always treating all employees consistent with corporate policy and facility guidelines without regard to race, sex, age, religion, national origin, or disability Manage staff of front-line supervisory staff and ensure that all jobs are filled at the beginning of the shift and throughout Review production schedules to ensure product specifications are being followed to meet demands Examine product at various stages for variations from standard Supervise, coordinate activities, and issue instructions to front-line supervisors and hourly employees Coordinates with maintenance to eliminate excessive and unnecessary downtime of machinery Perform other duties as instructed by Grading Manager Other duties as assigned This is an on-site position. This is a safety sensitive position.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Significant departmental job knowledge &/or previous job experience
  • Satisfactory safety record & good performance record
  • Ability to recognize problems that are or could be of a serious nature, reporting such problems to the Grading Manager
  • Ability to interpret relevant reports and information
  • Good Leadership skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all exempt and non-exempt employees both verbally and in writing
  • Bilingual (Eng/Spanish) preferred
  • Ability to document extensively
  • Ability to handle stressful situations
  • Mathematical computation and analytical skills preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
