We are currently hiring for the role of Sales Consultant. SUMMARY The Sales Consultant is a hands-on, customer-facing role responsible for delivering exceptional service to Kele customers at the branch counter, over the phone, and via email. This position supports all aspects of branch operations including sales, order fulfillment, and inventory control. The Sales Consultant plays a critical role in ensuring fast, accurate, and knowledgeable service while maintaining efficient warehouse operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1–3 years of experience in customer service, sales, warehouse, or distribution environment preferred
  • Experience in HVAC products, building controls, electrical, or industrial distribution preferred
  • Strong customer service mindset with a sense of urgency
  • Effective communication with contractors, technicians, and internal teams
  • Ability to build relationships and drive repeat business
  • Ability to upsell and cross-sell solutions naturally
  • High attention to detail and order accuracy
  • Experience with picking, packing, and shipping processes
  • Basic inventory management knowledge
  • Ability to multitask between customer-facing and warehouse responsibilities
  • Basic understanding of BAS, HVAC controls, or industrial products (or ability to learn quickly)
  • Ability to interpret part numbers, specifications, and cross-references
  • Comfort using ERP systems, handheld scanners, and Microsoft Office tools
  • Reliable, punctual, and accountable
  • Positive attitude and willingness to support team needs
  • Ability to work effectively in a small, fast-paced branch environment
  • Desire for long-term growth within Kele
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move between counter and warehouse throughout the day
  • Ability to lift and move items up to approximately 50 pounds regularly
  • Ability to perform manual tasks including picking, packing, and handling materials

Responsibilities

  • Assist walk-in customers and respond to inbound phone calls and emails for quotes, availability, and technical questions
  • Provide product selection support for Commercial HVAC controls, BAS components, and related electrical products
  • Generate and process sales orders in ERP systems accurately and efficiently
  • Develop relationships with contractors, technicians, and facility customers
  • Upsell complementary products and recommend alternatives when items are unavailable
  • Resolve customer issues, order discrepancies, and service concerns with urgency and professionalism
  • Provide basic troubleshooting and product application support
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of Kele catalog and vendor product offerings
  • Pick, pack, and ship customer orders accurately and on time using parcel carriers
  • Prepare and stage will-call orders for customer pickup
  • Receive incoming inventory and verify against purchase orders
  • Stock shelves and maintain organized bin locations
  • Process returns and restock materials appropriately
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and counter area
  • Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory processes
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate low, excess, or obsolete stock
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and proper product labeling
  • Assist in resolving inventory discrepancies
  • Support daily branch operations including opening and closing responsibilities
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
  • Coordinate with inside sales, purchasing, and logistics teams
  • Contribute to a team-oriented, high-performance branch environment
  • Serve as on-site lead when the Branch Manager is not present
  • Help prioritize daily work, maintain service levels, and ensure operational continuity
  • Escalate issues as needed and communicate effectively with leadership
  • Model professionalism, accountability, and customer-first behavior
