About The Position

Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in sales and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. Job Responsibilities: Build lasting relationships with customers while helping them find the perfect items to meet their needs, tastes, and purchase options. Follow up with customers to maximize sales and ensure customer satisfaction. Join a supportive team that works together to achieve individual goals and company expectations. In addition, you will partner with other members of your team to create an engaging customer experience. You will be responsible for consistently meeting established sales goals. Maintain a high level of engagement, greeting customers, cultivating relationships, and discovering furnishing needs. Maintain knowledge of a broad range of furniture styles, trends, and products through company training and your own research of trends. Utilize computer tools to validate credit terms and complete sales transactions. Other duties/projects as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment This job operates in a retail store environment.

Requirements

  • Ability to stand during the entire shift.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Previous sales experience in retail, preferably in the furniture or home furnishings industry, is preferred but not required.
  • Passion for furniture and interior design, with a keen eye for aesthetics and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with customers.
  • Strong customer service orientation, with a focus on delivering a positive and memorable shopping experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Computer proficient in placing orders and credit applications.
  • Exceptional listening and problem-resolution skills.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems is a plus.
  • Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
