Position Summary As a Boat & Powersports Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for helping customers find the right product to fit their lifestyle, needs, and budget. This role is focused on building relationships, generating leads, following up consistently, creating a great buying experience, and helping drive dealership growth. You will work with customers throughout the entire sales process — from initial greeting and product education to closing the sale and supporting the customer after delivery. Requirements

  • Strong communication and people skills
  • Basic computer and technology skills
  • Ability to communicate professionally in person, by phone, text, and email
  • Strong customer service mindset
  • Must be dependable and motivated to learn
  • Valid driver’s license preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Sales experience is preferred, but not required for the right candidate
  • Experience in marine, powersports, automotive, retail, hospitality, or customer service is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist customers in a professional, friendly, and welcoming manner
  • Build relationships with customers to understand their needs, wants, and intended use
  • Help customers select the right boat, pontoon, ATV, motorcycle, side-by-side, or other product for their lifestyle and budget
  • Conduct product walkarounds and explain features, benefits, and value clearly
  • Present product options, accessories, financing opportunities, and protection packages
  • Follow up with leads in a timely and consistent manner through phone, text, email, and CRM tools
  • Maintain a high level of customer service before, during, and after the sale
  • Assist in creating a smooth and memorable delivery experience for customers
  • Manage incoming leads from walk-in traffic, phone calls, website inquiries, and social media
  • Keep accurate customer notes and sales activity in dealership systems
  • Maintain strong follow-up habits and work unsold leads consistently
  • Develop and manage your own pipeline of prospects and repeat/referral customers
  • Work toward monthly, seasonal, and annual sales goals
  • Stay current on product features, specifications, and competitive advantages
  • Learn key differences between brands, models, and trim levels
  • Communicate the benefits of our products in a way that is easy for customers to understand
  • Stay informed on promotions, financing programs, and current inventory
  • Help keep showroom, lot, and inventory displays organized and presentable
  • Ensure products are clean, tagged, and ready for customer presentation
  • Assist with dealership events, promotions, boat shows, and seasonal sales initiatives
  • Support team success by working closely with finance, service, parts, and management
  • Understand the importance of online presence in today’s sales environment
  • Use social media and digital tools to dshelp promote inventory, events, and dealership visibility
  • Participate in creating customer-focused content and maintaining a professional online presence when appropriate
