About The Position

We are seeking a Retail Sales Consultant to represent our Gallo portfolio of Wine and Spirits. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to work independently, familiar with the retail, beverage, or hospitality industries, and customer service oriented. Take this rare opportunity to work in the stable and ever growing liquor industry. This position will be servicing and selling to retail accounts in the area of Omaha, Nebraska and other cities nearby. The best candidate will be a resident of the territory. You will be representing many of the most recognized and successful products in the beverage industry. The right candidate will be an assertive, goals-and-results-driven individual who needs little direction or supervision. Sales Consultants are responsible for achieving sales objectives, territory management, selling current and new products, promotions, quoting prices and credit terms, customer trainings, and servicing customer accounts. This also includes merchandising, setting up displays, stocking inventories, and assisting operations departments as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2 years related sales experience within distribution, supplier or hospitality community
  • Prior sales experience (outside sales preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
  • Excellent time management skills necessary
  • Proficient at calculating commissions, percentages, and reviewing comparative sales data for analysis
  • Must have reliable transportation and valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
  • Lift and carry a 50+ pound case of product on a repetitive basis
  • Must live in or near Omaha, Nebraska (no relocation package)

Nice To Haves

  • Previous wine/liquor experience desired.

Responsibilities

  • Make regular sales calls to designated accounts to cultivate customer relations and satisfaction with service provided
  • Demonstrate consultative sales abilities through successful presentations of product, the promotion of new and existing portfolio items and the expansion of business
  • Exhibit discipline and resourcefulness to meet/exceed assigned monthly quotas and placement objectives
  • Research, organize and present sales reports/quota attainment results as required by District Manager in team or division meeting environment
  • Review customers' credit status, collect monies owed for product and partner with Credit Department on a weekly basis to ensure accounts remain in good standing
  • Assist customers with inventory management responsibilities (product availability/new product placement and rotation of stock)
  • Merchandise off-sale/retail accounts and reset shelf space, cold box and build displays to correspond with supplier promotions and incentive programs
