Position Overview We are seeking a driven, customer-focused Sales Consultant to join our growing, employee-owned green industry team. In this role, you will provide expert guidance to prospective and existing clients, identifying their landscaping needs, and recommending tailored solutions from our product/service portfolio. You will serve as a trusted advisor—identifying client needs, providing professional recommendations, and helping create beautiful, healthy outdoor environments. This position directly impacts revenue growth and brand reputation by building strong relationships, generating new business, and delivering an exceptional client experience.

Requirements

  • 3+ years as a Sales Consulting, or other customer-facing sales roles (green industry experience highly preferred).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence decision-making.
  • Understanding of sales principles, lead management, and customer service best practices.
  • Motivated, competitive, and goal-oriented with a strong desire to grow earnings.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce preferred).
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

  • A degree in landscape architecture, landscape design, horticulture, or related fields is preferred.
  • Background in landscaping, lawn care, plant health care, arboriculture, agriculture, horticulture, or related service industries.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and qualify new clients through customer/client facing, networking, community involvement, and referral generation.
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments with potential clients to understand their challenges and requirements.
  • Present, demonstrate, and explain services, advantages, and benefits tailored to the client's specific situation.
  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Build trust-based, long-term relationships with customers.
  • Follow up post-service to ensure satisfaction, address questions, and identify additional upselling or cross-selling opportunities.
  • Manage client inquiries, concerns, and feedback with timely, professional, and solutions-focused communication.
