About The Position

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Understanding of wine and spirits is required.
  • Experience in on-premise wine sales/service environment is highly preferred.
  • Strong accounting, computer, customer service, and interpersonal skills preferred.
  • Results-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to multi-task.
  • Proficient in MS Office and presentation software.
  • Familiarity with the assigned territory is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategies to achieve sales and merchandising objectives based on company pricing and product programming.
  • Manage daily routes and cover accounts efficiently.
  • Analyze account base to identify opportunities and ensure compliance with national account standards.
  • Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations to customers, balancing company priorities with customer needs.
  • Monitor inventory levels and alert management to fluctuations in demand.
  • Achieve performance goals related to distribution, volume, and activity of supplier brands.
  • Maintain brand visibility within accounts using effective point of sale materials.
  • Restock shelves and maintain product levels in accounts.
  • Collect payments and manage customer account receivables.
  • Educate account staff on priority brands through training seminars.
  • Support new account openings by developing opening orders in collaboration with the District Manager.
  • Handle customer issues and complaints, referring them to management as necessary.
  • Participate in supplier work with sales calls and blitzes to maintain professional relationships.
  • Attend sales meetings to stay informed about company and supplier activities.
  • Complete required training programs and maintain industry knowledge through workshops and publications.
  • Ensure confidentiality of customer information and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results.
