About The Position

The Idaho State University Sales Competition is an opportunity for students from participating universities to gain valuable, hands-on experience with the core principles of sales. During the competition, individuals or teams of two or more participants work together in buyer and seller roles to sell a product or service of their choice. Students are evaluated using a set of criteria centered on five major sales concepts, as well as their communication and presentation skills. Participation in the competition allows students to refine their oral and written communication abilities, practice engagement and leadership, and develop teamwork skills. These competencies reflect the key attributes sought by employers across a wide range of industries.
