About The Position

Oversee the variable sales compensation process for the North American distribution channel. Provides direction and support in the daily activities of Data & System Analyst support staff responsible for the accuracy of sales data and the calculation of monthly variable sales payments for North America. Provides data and process support to internal customers (i.e. Sales Management, People Team, Distribution Technology) and vendors (i.e. Xactly). Coordinates departmental work flow and assists staff by researching and resolving complex problems. Evaluates employee performance and provides feedback, assesses training needs and assists in the development of the team. Initiates, monitors, and reviews projects related to the enhancement of the sales compensation system. Creates, analyzes, and distributes compensation reports as needed. Coordinate and collaborate with the People Department and Sales Management to support requested changes to the sales compensation program. Provides process and system support and training to team members. Develops relationships with Sales, People Team, Distribution Technology and IT teams to enhance support for sales. Analyzes departmental processes and procedures and recommends improvements in an effort to enhance operations. Professionally represent Janus Henderson at industry conferences and events. Provide excellent customer support (quick acknowledgment and closure of client questions/requests). Engage with business partners to evaluate opportunities for process integration and refinement. Exhibit strong understanding of financial products, the distribution process and data related to sales activities, assets and flows. Demonstrate excellent verbal, written, and client relationship management skills. Manages front-line non-exempt and exempt staff. Plans, allocates, monitors work and makes recommendations regarding employment, performance appraisal, training, salary adjustments and related personnel actions. Carry out other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience.
  • Tested experience with enterprise data reporting tools such Power BI.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to organize analyze and support distribution sales data.
  • Advanced computer skills including Excel, Access and CRM systems (SalesForce.com, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of database structures, ETL processes and data warehouses.
  • Familiarity with Client Relationship Management (CRM) functionality and processes.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills including Excel, Access and CRM systems (SalesForce.com, etc.).
  • Previous experience supporting sales compensation and using sales compensation systems, preferably Xactly Incent or other similar ICM solution.
  • Knowledge of broker/dealer distribution and the advisor-assisted investor relationship preferred.
  • Five + years relevant experience required.
  • Three + years management experience required.
  • Sales compensation experience preferred.
  • Asset management industry experience preferred.
  • Previous reporting and data management experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration or equivalent work experience required.
