About The Position

This position is responsible for providing support with the modeling, development communicating and promoting of sales compensation plans, the establishment and maintenance of sales goals, and detailed sales analysis. This role involves significant interaction with sales managers, sales reps and Home Office employees who support the sales organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 6 - 10 years experience involving financial, business and sales analysis.
  • Excellent analysis, problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to negotiate and interact with sales managers, sales reps and home office employees.
  • High level of initiative, flexibility and desire.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of the Colonial sales organization and sales compensation programs.
  • Moderate level of experience with financial analysis and budgeting.
  • Familiarity with Colonial's home office sales support functions.
  • Familiarity with Colonial's financial, actuarial, operational, and marketing functions.
  • Life and health insurance industry experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support the design, development and implementation of sales compensation plans that align corporate and field sales force objectives within appropriate selling allowables.
  • Develop and communicate effective sales compensation tools for the sales organization such as: compensation plans and income projection models and provide training on the use of these tools.
  • Recommend and counsel how and when to effectively use financing programs that help attract and retain successful sales reps and sales managers.
  • Administer sales planning and negotiate related adjustments for the field force.
  • Provide sales analysis and reviews for an assigned region of the country.
  • Provide analytical support for Colonial's Incentive & Awards programs.
  • Maintain compensation program documents.
  • Provide support as needed for sales office cost center budgeting.
