About The Position

This Sales Clerk position is located in the Gift Shop at Navicent Health Medical Center. The role involves designing and setting up merchandise displays, receiving and stocking inventory, cleaning display cases, operating a cash register for customer transactions, packing purchases, attaching price tags, and handling phone and wire orders. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

  • Designs and sets up displays of merchandise on shelves, counters or tables to attract customers and promote sales.
  • Receives, opens, and issues sales floor merchandise.
  • Stocks and restocks shelves, counters and tables with new merchandise.
  • Cleans display cases and shelves.
  • Itemizes and totals customer merchandise selection at checkout counter using cash register and accepts cash, charge cards, and MCCG deduct-it machine as forms of payment.
  • Packs customer purchases in bags.
  • Attaches price tags on merchandise, referring to price list.
  • Answers phones and processes phone orders into computer.
  • Enters wire orders into computer to be filled by florist, whether incoming or outgoing order.
