Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent GED is preferred.
• No prior related work experience is required.
• No supervisory experience is required.
• No specific licenses or certifications are needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers as they enter the store and assist them in locating merchandise.
• Display merchandise in an organized and visually appealing manner.
• Restock items as necessary and check expiration dates, discarding expired products.
• Maintain a clean and orderly stockroom.
• Complete customer purchases, process all types of payments, and handle returns, refunds, and exchanges.
• Verify customer identification when required.
• Maintain appropriate cash levels in the cash drawer and ensure all money and receipts are accounted for.
• Follow opening and closing checklists to secure the store and monitor customer activity to prevent loss due to theft or damage.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, ensuring a professional appearance and confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Anticipate and respond to guest service needs with genuine appreciation and assistance for individuals with disabilities.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with others and answer phones using proper protocol.
• Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with others.
• Meet quality assurance expectations and standards.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
