About The Position

The Loan Officer at Lennar Mortgage is responsible for developing relationships to generate new business, interviewing customers to assess their financial needs, and advising them on suitable mortgage products. This role requires strong customer service skills and the ability to work collaboratively with builders and realtors to facilitate the loan process. The Loan Officer will also be expected to meet specific loan processing timelines and maintain communication with all parties involved in the loan process.

Requirements

  • Fluency in Spanish highly preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least three years of Loan Originating experience highly preferred.
  • Previous Builder experience highly preferred.
  • Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule, including evening and weekend work.
  • Valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
  • NMLS License required or willing to obtain.

Nice To Haves

  • Four-year college degree (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Seek and develop relationships for new business sources both internally and externally.
  • Interview customers to collect and analyze customer financial information.
  • Advise customers on the risks and benefits of various mortgage products and help select the appropriate loan program.
  • Make sales calls and develop relationships within the community to generate business.
  • Interview customers and secure a complete loan application within five days of the purchase agreement.
  • Review leads daily and contact borrowers to obtain their loan application.
  • Utilize Mortgage Returns system for prospecting.
  • Originate and prepare new loans to ensure compliance with guidelines.
  • Advise and recommend mortgage loan products based on customer needs.
  • Achieve loan decision within five days of loan application.
  • Achieve Conditional Loan Approval I status within thirty days of application date.
  • Review interest rates and lock loans with borrowers at least fifteen days prior to closing.
  • Participate in builder and realtor functions and special events.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with borrowers, builders, realtors, and processors.
  • Solicit new business from home builders and realtors.
  • Provide assistance to New Home Consultants on pre-qualifications of customers.
  • Travel to communities to meet with borrowers and obtain loan applications as necessary.
  • Meet or exceed closed loan capture rate and spot loan objectives.
  • Maintain reports and notes within the origination computer system.
  • Assist loan processing and closing departments to facilitate accurate processing and closing of loans.
