About The Position

Lasko Products, a market leader in home comfort products for over 100 years, is looking to add a Sales Category Analyst to our West Chester, PA corporate headquarters. The Sales Category Analyst will support our growing Sales organization. This role will be a key analytical partner to Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance — driving actionable insights that strengthen category performance, improve retailer partnerships, and unlock growth opportunities. Position Summary The Sales Category Analyst is responsible for analyzing syndicated data, retailer POS trends, internal sales performance, and competitive activity to provide actionable category insights. This individual will help translate complex data into clear recommendations that influence assortment, pricing, promotions, shelf placement, and go-to-market strategies. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys storytelling with data, and wants exposure to cross-functional decision making within a dynamic consumer products organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Analytics, or related field
  • 2–5 years of experience in category management, sales analytics, business intelligence, or CPG analytics
  • Experience working with syndicated data (Circana/IRI/Nielsen)
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data modeling)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to synthesize large data sets into executive-level insights
  • Strong communication and presentation skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in consumer packaged goods (CPG) or durable goods
  • Familiarity with retailer portals (Walmart Retail Link, Target Partners Online, etc.)
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other visualization tools
  • Understanding of seasonal product categories

Responsibilities

  • Analyze syndicated data (IRI, Nielsen, Circana, etc.) to identify category trends, market share movement, and competitive dynamics
  • Monitor POS data and shipment trends to assess retailer performance and identify growth opportunities
  • Develop retailer-specific category insights to support joint business planning conversations
  • Track promotional effectiveness and recommend optimization strategies
  • Support the Sales team with pre-line review analysis, assortment recommendations, and performance recaps
  • Build category scorecards and executive dashboards
  • Assist in preparation of customer presentations with data-backed insights
  • Partner with Key Account Managers to identify whitespace opportunities and distribution gaps
  • Develop and maintain sales performance dashboards (weekly, monthly, seasonal)
  • Analyze variance to forecast, prior year, and budget
  • Support demand planning discussions by providing insights into sell-through trends
  • Assist in post-season analysis for heaters, fans, and air purifier categories
  • Partner with Marketing on product launches, pricing strategy, and promotional planning
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain and SIOP teams to align demand signals with inventory strategy
  • Support Finance with revenue forecasting and margin analysis
