Company Overview General Summary: Responsible for the resolution of sales audit exceptions and guided audit concerns as identified by the sales audit software. Correction of store over/short issues by researching and entering adjustments from the Cash Audit and Payment Services teams, making systemic journal entries to adjust weekly sales, daily balancing, and/or reporting. Assist in the reconciliation of non-merchandise activity as it relates to prepaid products and third party gift cards.

Requirements

  • Associates degree or 2 years toward Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or other similar field of study is a plus.
  • In addition, a minimum one year of applicable experience or three years works experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Microsoft database and Auditworks experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Resolves outstanding sales audit exceptions and guided audit concerns for a group of assigned stores.
  • Ensures that daily exceptions/system rejects are completed accurately to provide for timely sales close each Monday.
  • Assist in the reconciliation of non-merchandise activity as it relates to prepaid products and third party gift cards.
  • Researches excessive over/short issues, reviews daily exception reports and investigates no-poll issues to create weekly sales entries to the general ledger through the sales audit software.
  • Provides direction and answers sales-related questions for store managers, field management and store support center employees.
  • Assists with special projects.
  • Excellent problem solving skills to proactively recognize issues and resolve any potential problems.
  • Outstanding Microsoft spreadsheet skills.
  • Ability to organize, plan, prioritize and be a self-starter.
  • Strong understanding of the retail environment.
  • Outstanding 10 key skills.
  • Ability to make decisions and strong initiative to research and find resolution to issues.
  • Strong written and verbal skills to effectively communicate with management, team members and field personnel.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with peers and management.
  • Ability to be a team player with good customer service skills.
