Requirements

  • One year as an Accountant 2 or three years of progressively responsible professional accounting experience.
  • Graduation from a four-year college or university with fifteen credits in accounting or equivalent experience.
  • A Master's degree in Accounting or a related field may substitute for one year of general work experience.
  • Supervisory experience in an accounting environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee internal operating controls, processes, and practices for the Sales Audit team.
  • Manage the sales audit process for point-of-sale transaction data for PLCB Wholesale and Retail operations.
  • Provide supervision and guidance to lower-level accountants to ensure timely and accurate completion of duties.
  • Develop sales auditing processes for new retail promotional programs to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Manage the accounting and reporting of the Liquor License Fund in accordance with the Pennsylvania Liquor Code.
  • Review activities related to the semi-annual return of License Fees to municipalities.
