About The Position

Ingles Markets began in 1963 as a single supermarket and has since grown into a regional grocery store chain with just under 200 retail locations operating in 6 southeastern states, a 1.6-million-square foot distribution center, two truck fleets, and a milk processing plant. Ingles Markets’ headquarters and distribution center are located just 15 minutes outside of Asheville, NC in the town of Black Mountain. The team is lean and services 27,000 employees across 6 states. They work hard as a collective to ensure everything is accomplished, even if it is not in their job description, and like to have fun while doing it to create the most impact and difference in their community. The Sales Audit Clerk will assist in verifying incoming cash to sales daily.

Requirements

  • Has at least a High School diploma, or equivalent, or higher education.
  • Has strong time management, organizational skills, with particular attention to detail.
  • Is self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision effectively and efficiently.
  • Has strong basic mathematics skills.
  • Has the ability to use a 10-key calculator.
  • Is teachable and willing to learn.
  • Has computer skills and is familiar with Office 365.

Responsibilities

  • Verify deposit slips.
  • Check money order reports.
  • Verify sales and receivables.
  • Balance store sales.
  • Data entry.
  • Administrative duties: mail distribution, answer phones, prepare coupons for shipping, and other duties as assigned.
