About The Position

Rack Room Shoes is seeking a Sales Associate to provide excellent customer service and meet sales goals. The Sales Associate will adhere to the company's service standards, lead by example, and maintain accuracy in sales transactions. The role involves creating a positive shopping experience, promoting company initiatives, and ensuring the store is well-presented and organized.

Requirements

• Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively with customers and employees.
• Basic communication (verbal and non-verbal), organization, and math skills.
• Experience in retail sales, preferably in specialty retail or footwear.
• Basic knowledge of company policies and procedures.
• Basic visual merchandising skills and understanding of Store Presentation Standards.

Responsibilities

• Create an excellent shopping experience for customers through awareness and adherence to company service standards.
• Maintain a positive attitude and willingness to serve customers.
• Assist customers with sales and provide product knowledge.
• Promote the company rewards program and other business initiatives.
• Maintain awareness of current sales promotions.
• Ensure merchandise is well arranged and presented properly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all areas within the store.
• Develop and maintain necessary product knowledge and fitting skills.
• Be aware of Loss Prevention concerns involving customers and staff.
• Participate in physical inventories and assist in shipping and receiving merchandise.
• Process all sales and POS terminal transactions in accordance with policy and procedure.
