About The Position
The Sales Associate position at Spirit Halloween is a temporary and seasonal role designed to support the Store Management Team in various operational tasks. This role is crucial for the setup, merchandising, and teardown of the seasonal store, which typically operates from around Labor Day weekend until early November. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of Guest Services in accordance with company policies. This includes generating sales, engaging in sign waving, and performing general housekeeping duties to ensure the store remains presentable and inviting to customers. In addition to customer service, the Sales Associate will assist with merchandising tasks, which involve organizing and displaying products effectively to enhance the shopping experience. Responsibilities also include pricing items, operating the Point of Sale (POS) system, and implementing loss prevention strategies to minimize theft and ensure the store's profitability. The role requires a proactive approach to customer engagement, ensuring that guests receive assistance and information about the products available in the store. The physical demands of the job are significant, as the Sales Associate will need to climb ladders, set up fixtures, and lift or move items weighing up to 50 pounds. The position may require standing or walking for extended periods, potentially up to 8 hours a day. It is important to note that while you will be working with Spirit Halloween merchandise, your employer will be the independent owner and operator of the consignment store, not Spirit Halloween itself. This means that the consignment operator will be responsible for your employment benefits and wages, and you will need to adhere to their specific employment and operational policies.
