What You Will Do and How You Will Contribute: Engage with customers, greet, and assist them to create a positive shopping experience Help customers find the right products, provide recommendations and offer solutions for their projects Stock and organize merchandise to maintain a clean, well-presented store Answer phone calls in a polite and timely manner, addressing customer inquiries Assist with inventory-related tasks, including performing cycle counts, verifying stock levels and maintaining accurate records Upsell related items and promote the Do It Best reward program to build loyalty Follow company standards and procedures to ensure smooth store operations Process checkouts accurately, adhering to proper cash handling procedures Continuously expand knowledge of products across all departments to enhance service and identify selling opportunities Address and resolve customer issues with management support Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Complete all assigned training to stay up-to-date with product knowledge and company policies Assist in other departments/functions as needed to provide great customer service Perform any other tasks as assigned by supervisors or management What You Will Bring to Our Team: High school diploma or equivalent preferred Proficiency in using computers and point-of-sale (POS) systems Previous retail or related industry experience is a plus Familiarity with cycle counting or inventory processes is beneficial Strong customer service skills and a willingness to go the extra mile to meet customer needs Ability to be a team player, help out wherever needed and contribute to a positive work environment Problem-solving mindset with the ability to anticipate customer needs and provide effective solutions Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, staying flexible and adaptable Physical ability to lift and carry items weighing 25-50 lbs, bend, twist, squat, and reach throughout your shift Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, as required by the business What’s It Like To Work for Nation’s Best?
