As a Seasonal Sales Associate, you’ll create joyful shopping experiences for parents and children alike—bringing patience, energy, and a genuine love for helping others. You’ll be a valued member of the Hive team, helping to make every visit to Hive Kids a delight for families in our community. You should be familiar with our Hive Kids collections and excited about helping customers pick out clothing, toys, and gifts that bring smiles to children’s faces!

Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move small to medium items (up to 15 lbs.) safely.
  • Comfortable standing and walking for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to navigate the floor, stockroom, and register area safely.
  • Maintain punctuality, professionalism, and honesty.
  • Record time worked promptly and follow all safety guidelines.
  • Protect confidential and sensitive information.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a Positive Customer Experience
  • Greet parents and kids warmly and create a fun, welcoming environment.
  • Stay attentive and approachable on the sales floor.
  • Listen carefully to families’ needs to help them find age-appropriate clothing, toys, and gifts.
  • Offer thoughtful recommendations with product knowledge and genuine enthusiasm.
  • Maintain a neat and cheerful sales floor with safe, organized displays.
  • Complete sales efficiently and accurately at checkout.
  • Be gracious with returns and exchanges, offering creative alternatives when possible.
  • Package purchases with care, meeting Hive’s presentation standards.
  • Go above and beyond with friendly follow-ups and thank-you notes.
  • Team Collaboration
  • Work closely with fellow sales associates to deliver exceptional service.
  • Support in-store and online sales, and invite customers to events or promotions.
  • Communicate clearly, positively, and professionally with teammates.
  • Participate in problem-solving and assist with store projects as needed.
  • Sales and Customer Relationship Management
  • Help drive sales through genuine customer interactions.
  • Build relationships with returning customers and families.
  • Accurately enter and maintain customer contact information.
  • Store Maintenance and Operations
  • Support with receiving, stocking, and merchandising new inventory.
  • Keep displays kid-friendly, tidy, and visually engaging.
  • Follow all inventory and safety procedures.
  • Use time effectively to complete assigned tasks and assist the team.
  • Follow Hive’s Code of Conduct with integrity and accountability.
