About The Position

The Entry-Level Sales Associate is responsible for driving new business growth and managing customer relationships within an assigned territory. This role is a hands-on, field-based position focused on prospecting, presenting GFL’s environmental services and solutions, and closing sales to meet or exceed monthly and quarterly quotas. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual to launch a successful career in Outside Sales with comprehensive training and mentorship.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is a plus.
  • Impeccable customer service skills, a strong drive for results, and a genuine interest in a sales career.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a high comfort level for initiating conversations and executive-level interactions.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of working autonomously and managing time effectively within a territory.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and a willingness to learn CRM software.
  • Valid driver's license, insurance, and a good driving record is required for territory coverage.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic territory plan to identify and qualify new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and referrals.
  • Conduct face-to-face meetings and compelling sales presentations to prospective customers, demonstrating how GFL’s products and services can meet their needs.
  • Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with new and repeat clients to ensure high customer satisfaction and identify upselling opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with the Inside Sales and support teams to streamline processes and share best practices.
