About The Position

This Sales Associate role at Elder's is responsible for the daily operational tasks within a retail department, focusing on merchandise management, store organization, and customer service. The position requires a proactive approach to daily goals, adherence to merchandising standards, and active participation in loss prevention efforts. It emphasizes professional communication and attentive customer interaction.

Requirements

Minimum of 6 months-1 year of retail experience
Able to communicate professionally with customers and team members
Skilled at providing prompt, friendly and attentive customer service
Strong organizational skills with a passion for details
Willing to learn all areas of the store and help train others
A continuous pattern of regular and prompt attendance is required
Availability must be flexible, including evenings, weekends and holidays

Nice To Haves

Hardware experience preferred
Knowledge and experience of various departments is strongly desired
Bilingual (Spanish) verbal and written communication skills strongly preferred

Responsibilities

Help unload incoming trucks and put away merchandise (as arranged by management)
Maintain your assigned department: Keep clean, organized and fully stocked
Execute the daily operational, day-to-day goals/priorities assigned to you and move with your “Ace Pace”
Remove promotional bin tags from displays/price tags as required
Restock merchandise displays as needed, watch end caps and side wings
Handle special orders for all non-stock items
Never tell a customer no without checking with a manager
Watch for shoplifters and act, in line with Elder’s policy, that will discourage shoplifting
Respond to radio requests
Other duties as assigned
