About The Position
Turner's Outdoorsman is seeking a Sales Associate to join their team. This role involves assisting Store Management, achieving sales goals, ensuring customer satisfaction, and contributing to profitability growth. The Sales Associate is expected to embody the Turner’s brand and company culture, acting as a retail professional role model in attitude, appearance, communication, and customer service.
Requirements
- High school graduate (or GED) required
- Legally eligible to work in a firearms environment
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to obtain a Certificate of Eligibility
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to multi-task and work in a face paced environment
- Must be able to use a computer proficiently and grasp instruction to new software programs
Nice To Haves
- College graduate or some college preferred
- Prior retail or sales experience and cash handling preferred
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Knowledge about Hunting, Fishing, or Shooting sports is preferred
Responsibilities
- Greets all customers
- Executes all required firearms paperwork within legal parameters
- Create customer orders
- Provides excellent customer service and displays exceptional salesmanship
- Demonstrates constant awareness of firearm safety
- Responsible for assisting in store merchandising changes
- Responsible for loading and unloading trucks
- Receives stock and merchandise
- Actively involved in promotions, sales and events
- May fill customer fishing reels using special machines and knot-tying techniques
- May participate in inventory tasks
- Able to attend training seminars, including some off-site
- Perform other duties as assigned
