About The Position

The Stock associate is responsible for loading and unloading merchandise from trucks and safely moving material within the store by carrying, lifting, and safely operating hand trucks, forklifts, or other material handling equipment. The Stock Associate may assist customers as well as ringing merchandise.

Requirements

• Willingness to gain a vast knowledge of consumable products
• Experience in a retail environment preferred
• Excellent communication skills, high attention to detail, and ability to multitask
• Ability to stand for an extended period of time
• Able to walk, reach, climb ladders, and bend to perform job duties
• Able to lift up to 80 lbs frequently

Responsibilities

• Help unload and load trucks in a safe manner
• Receive and sort
• Operate a forklift or pallet jack safely and efficiently
• Separate Special Orders from delivery and process according to store policy
• Help maintain strict organization in the backroom
• Ensure all inbound merchandise is checked in per store procedures
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service
• Always have a customer-first mentality
